The Green Power Ranger Is Coming to Amarillo on Saturday
In my never ending quest to find stuff to do in Amarillo, I recently came across an event that made me do a bit of a double take. If you or your kids loved the Power Rangers, this Saturday (1/9) one of the most iconic actors from the series will be in town.
Jason David Frank will be making a stop in Amarillo this Saturday according to an event page created by Nomad's Den.
Jason is responsible for bringing the green Power Ranger into our lives. We all remember Tommy Oliver.
It's not all bad news though. Tommy wound up finding his place alongside the rest of the Power Rangers. The green Power Ranger would become a fan favorite.
Jason David Frank was also the white Ranger (remember when the green Ranger and white Ranger fought), and he was the villain Lord Drakkon.
He is making stops at local comic stores on a tour, and will be making an appearance at Nomad's Den in Amarillo this Saturday, 1/9/21, from Noon to 1 PM.
On social media, the cost to attend is listed as free. Nomad's Den does make a point to ask that you follow guidelines regarding masks and social distancing while at the store and for the event.
You can find out more by following this link to the event page, though they do ask you contact them for more information on how to get a ticket and attend.
Finding this event makes me wonder about AMA-CON and YC3. Due to the pandemic, there were no conventions held last year. There wasn't even a game day for Extra Life. Hopefully that isn't the case in 2021.
