Food Items they they are currently in need of:

Canned Vegetables
Canned Fruits
Canned Meat

Peanut Butter
Boxed Dinner
Rice
Beans

Plus for every $1 donated the High Plains Food Bank can turn that into 5 meals.

If you cannot make it out to Market Street then know that you can make a donation at any United Supermarket, Amigos or Market Street in the Texas Panhandle.

Last month the High Plains Food Bank served over 9,500 families in the Texas Panhandle and the need continues to grow.

15.4% of people in the Texas Panhandle struggle with food insecurity.  These are people with jobs, or senior citizens, or even college students.  People who work or are on social security who just don't have enough to put food on the table.  They make the decisions to pay for gas or heat instead of food.  They have to choose a prescription over food.

That's where the High Plains Food Bank comes in and that's where they ask for your help.  So if you can, next week make a food donation or monetary donation during the Together We Can Food Drive with the High Plains Food Bank.
