When you go back to the early 2000s on Polk Street, things look a lot different. While there are some similarities, there have been a lot of businesses come and go. There has also been a lot of work done to restore some of the buildings, one of those being the Barfield.
That's what the iconic hotel looked like. We're all really familiar with how it looks today.
The Many Faces Of One Location On Polk Street
I remember Tom & Jerry's. Wild Card was before my time in Yellow City. Today, it's Chesney's. In fact, the buildings next to it are part of Chesney's now as well.
A Look Back At An Amarillo Sports Franchise
Looking through some of the older photos, I had to smile when I came across a sign for the Dillas.
Of course, as we all know, the Dillas don't occupy that space anymore.
