Planning a night of looking at Christmas lights is time consuming and frustrating. You have to figure out where you're going, how to get there, and deal with all of the noise coming from the backseat.

I recently stumbled across a post on Facebook talking about a booze cruise looking at Christmas lights in Amarillo. I figured that might be something worth looking into.

It's a real thing. You can book your spot on the bus from the company doing the tours, and at night they do a BYOB booze cruise. Here's a link to the details.

Heads up. It is adults only.

This holiday season is a strange one. Most people I know aren't as excited or cheerful as they were last year. 2020 will do that to you.

I know of people who have canceled celebrating altogether. They just don't see the point.

While this year is most definitely going to look different from last year, and has so far, there are still some ways to get in that holiday cheer you're craving.

Along with these guided tours of lights, there's Maxwell's Magical Christmas. The City of Canyon has several things happening and just held a reverse parade. We also posted about the map of light displays around Amarillo, Canyon, and Pampa that we found.

Hopefully next year things are back to normal, and we're not having to come up with alternatives. Until then, tip of the hat to the individuals and businesses who are coming up with ways for us to enjoy the holidays in 2020.

It hasn't been easy.
