World Record Limbo Dancer Slithers Under a Car
How low can you go? Not nearly as low as this woman.
Shemika Charles, who already owns the world record for limboing down to eight-and-a-half inches, managed to top that -- or bottom it? -- by doing her thing under a car.
The 22-year-old, who hails from Trinidad and Tobago, now tours all over the US, showing off her wild talents, while practicing up to six hours daily to keep her body honed. Her skill is definitely in the genes, too, since her mother used to be a limbo dancer.
While she does win strange looks and applause from shocked onlookers, contorting her body does come with risks for Charles, who has to see a chiropractor once a week. Even if her body started to show signs of wear and tear and affected her health, Charles says she probably still wouldn't stop doing limbo.
And that's a comment that probably got under her chiropractor's skin.
