New drivers in Amarillo, AutoNation’s Free Car Care Clinic is Your Starter Kit

High school is an exciting time. One of the most exciting things is the freedom that comes with getting your first car. With a first car comes learning how to care for your vehicle.

Coming up in Amarillo, Texas, students will have an opportunity to learn everything they need to know to care for their vehicle. They'll even get a mini car care kit to keep with them.

Why First Car Care Matters, And Where To Learn For Free

AutoNation will be hosting these free car clinics in Amarillo in August and September. AutoNation techs will be on hand to walk young drivers through everything they need to know about their vehicle.

Not only will they run over basics like understanding your warning lights and what they mean, but they'll also take you through some of the routine maintenance you should be able to do on your own.

They will show drivers how to air up or change a flat tire, how to jump start a battery, and how to check fluids. They'll even go over which emergency items you should keep in your vehicle.

In order to participate in the event, young drivers will need a parent or guardian in attendance with them. Both the driver and the parent or guardian must be registered for the free car care clinic.

The first free car care clinic is on Wednesday, August 20. The second will be held on Saturday, September 6.
