Amarillo Civic Center’s Second Half of 2025 Packs a Punch
When was the last time you went to the Amarillo Civic Center's website? It's probably been a while since you last scrolled through the long list of upcoming events, praying that something there would be interesting enough to separate you from your money.
I checked out the list of upcoming events today, and it was more exciting than I anticipated. I was very happy to see a few pleasant surprises in the second half of 2025.
Mixed in among the Reptile Expo, the multiple gun shows, and wedding receptions, there were a couple of concerts, a pop-culture convention, and a surprise comedian. The comedian coming to Amarillo was the biggest shock.
Concerts You Won’t Want to Miss
The concerts were for Bachman-Turner Overdrive and Marshall Tucker Band (August 3, 2025). If you dig classic rock, this one should have you pretty excited. There's also a concert featuring Warrant along with Lita Ford, and FireHouse (August 23, 2025).

Warrant will be celebrating all things cherry pie related, and Lita Ford is a rock goddess. It should be an amazing night.
Ama-Con Returns in 2025
Ama-Con is back again in 2025. This year it will be on August 2 & 3 at the Amarillo Convention Center. This is an event my kids love to attend, and I honestly can't recommend it enough.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of info out at the moment. I'm sure that in the next month or so, we'll start seeing all of the announcements made about who the guests will be and what the schedule will look like for the weekend.
Stand-Up Surprise: Tom Segura Live
The biggest surprise was the stand-up comic scheduled to come to town in November. Tom Segura will be taking the stage on November 1, 2025, in Amarillo. Tom Segura, known for his sharp comedy and antics with Bert Kreischer, should give us an evening to remember.
Segura pulls no punches with his comedy. He will say exactly what is on his mind, and you'll split your sides laughing.

It looks like the second half of 2025 has some tricks up its sleeve at the Amarillo Civic Center.
