The City of Amarillo has been reaching out to the public a lot this year, asking for our opinions on a variety of issues. The reaching out is usually done in the form of an online survey.

The City of Amarillo is once again asking all of us to spare a little bit of time to fill out a survey. This time, the survey is hopefully going to get information that will be used in setting priorities for the future of housing programs in our city.

Why Your Feedback Matters

The survey is the Amarillo Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Survey. It asks a variety of questions regarding your household and housing situation, and whether or not you live in Amarillo.

What I found interesting was the portion of the survey dedicated to determining if someone has faced discrimination when it comes to housing. There are several questions dedicated to the topic.

While filling out surveys can be tedious, time-consuming, and frankly a bit annoying, this one is worth the time and effort. It didn't take me long to fill it out, and I hope it somehow helps.

Survey Deadline and Language Options

The survey is only open until June 23, 2025. That gives you just a little time to sit down and fill it out.

There are two options for the survey. The survey is available in English as well as Spanish. There are 16 questions total, and the only ones that might take some time to answer are the ones that provide space for written answers.

Fill out the survey when you've got a minute and help the City figure out which priorities and projects are most important.

I love Google. It can literally answer ANYTHING you need it to answer. Whether it's right or wrong is a totally different question.

Recently, I found myself wondering about something and went to Google. And that's when I started noticing the "people also asked..." section and BOY...Some of them made perfect sense, some of them were interesting, and one of them was downright baffling...and it was a top 10 question which is even more absurd.

So let's see what we've got. Here's the top 10 questions as asked to Google about Amarillo.
