Are You Mailing Gifts In 2021? Here’s When You Need To Do It By.
We just wrapped up one of the biggest shopping seasons of the year. Black Friday into Cyber Monday. If you've purchased gifts you'll mail to loved ones, here's when you need to do that by.
What Are Your Options For Sending Gifts Through The Mail
Of course there's the big three: FedEx, United States Postal Service, and UPS. In some cases you'll have the option to use DHL, which I've only used once in my life. The experience was good. They're just not in my current area.
When Will You Need To Have Your Package In The Mail For Christmas
Assuming you go with one of the "bigs," here are the dates you need to have your gifts in the mail by in order to make it by Christmas Eve. Heads up; they're coming up quick.
USPS Christmas Shipping Dates
If you're going with the United States Postal Service, these are the dates:
- USPS Retail Ground - Dec 15
- First Class Mail - Dec 17
- Priority Mail - Dec 18
- Priority Mail Express - Dec 23
These are the dates you'll need to aim for if you want those presents to get where they need to go before Dec 25. You can find out more by following this link.
UPS Christmas Shipping Dates
If you're wanting to go with UPS instead, or if you're already past the deadlines with USPS, the good news is that you have a little bit more time.
- UPS 3 Day Select - Dec 21
- UPS Second Day Air - Dec 22
- UPS Next Day Air - Dec 23
If you're going with UPS Ground Shipping, they have a neat little calculator you can use to get a good idea of when you'd need to have your package shipped. Check out their website here.
Some FedEx Christmas Shipping Deadlines Are Coming Up Quick

- 2 Day - Dec 22
