I remember when I first moved out I enjoyed checking my mail each and every day. I had a minor sense of excitement of what may be coming in each day. That excitement seems to dwindle as I realize it is always bills that are coming in.

You have to feel the same way, right? Every once in a while you may get a card. I mean if your birthday is coming up. Maybe someone is nice and just sending you something just because.

For the most part though you only seem to get junk mail and bills. That is no fun.

So how can you know when you really need to check the mail?

I know this seems like a first world problem. I don't want to walk to the front door if I don't have to. Some people have a further walk and who has time for that if there is nothing good in the box waiting for you?

What is Informed Delivery?

It's a service that sends you an email every day that you are expecting mail. This way you know. It will even send you an image of the mail that should be arriving. Hey if you are expecting a package from Amazon they will let you know there too.

It is a free service and one that I think is pretty cool. It does save me time. I mean I might check my mail once or twice a week now. So maybe it doesn't save A LOT of time but it is nice.

You can sign up for Informed Delivery HERE. You just have to create your account. Next step is to verify your account. Finally you are set and will start receiving email notifications.
