After a year of everything shutting down and cancelling this is the year that things are happening again. Last years Canyon Chamber of Commerce Chow Down had to cancel. This year not so much.

It is good to have things getting back to normal. If you are ready for a fun time in Canyon this is the place to be on Friday. The Chamber's Chow Down is ready for you. There will be all sorts of good food. Food is the main thing that brings everyone down to Canyon for this event.

The only thing that has changed is the location. They are moving the Chow Down to the Square. There will still be live music and a Barbeque Cook-off. Don't worry there will also be the famous Happy State Bank corn that everyone looks forward to seasoning up the way they love it. It really is that good.

It's some of the best sweet corn you will taste. Then the volunteers from Happy State Bank will dip it in the butter oil to get it all ready for your choice of seasonings. There are so many to choose from. We have them all. From parmesan, seasoned salt, garlic salt, paprika, lemon pepper, black pepper, crushed red pepper. There are a ton to choose from. You can use a little or use them all. We have seen people perfect their seasonings. They are proud of their combination.

The Chow Down gates open at 5pm and make sure you get there early. The corn will, as always run out. We would hate for you to be one of the disappointed ones.

The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
