City Is Planning Massive Clean Up Day After Recent Flooding
The recent flooding in Amarillo has been difficult for many in our area. Businesses were affected. Some had to leave their homes. Fortunately, Amarillo is starting to dry. Now, comes another challenge. The cleanup.
The City of Amarillo is planning a massive clean up day to help out.
A Chance For The Community To Come Together
That's how a press release from the City of Amarillo put it. The press release frames the cleanup as an opportunity for the community to come together to clean two lake areas.
The two lake areas that will be focused on first are Medi Park and McDonald Lake.
The cleanup efforts will be spread across two weekends. Medi Park's clean up day is this Saturday (June 17) and McDonald Lake will be on June 24.
