Dreaming of Taquitos in Amarillo? You Are Going to Have to Wait

OK, so I am uber excited about two different places opening up here in Amarillo. I don't care how many restaurants we have in our city, I really don't. It really is exciting news when we get a new one. I know it makes it tougher and tougher to pick a place to eat when heading out the door for a meal.

So Ready for the New Places in Amarillo to Open

It's ok. The more the merrier I say. We have two heading our way soon. I will be trying both of them out. One is Senor Chubby's Mexican Bar and Grill. I talked to someone there and they will not be opening up for breakfast like the Lubbock location. That is a bummer. Still, it will be moving to the former Leal's and Gardski's locations. I am excited about that. Last I heard their target date is the end of September.

I Want Taquitos Now

Then there is Roll Em Up Taquitos. This one I have been following for months. The photos they post on their social media have made me a fan. I hate to admit that I have actually dreamt about those fabulous-looking taquitos.

I think the reason I am most excited is you can have your taquitos how you want. Which for me means wrapped in flour tortillas like I used to get at Ruby Tequilas. I have not found them like that anywhere else since.

Those are what dreams are made of. The one disappointment is that they have pushed back their opening date here in Amarillo. Remember they will be in the former The Catch location on 45th.

Originally they were shooting to open this weekend. The signs are not even up yet. I thought they would be by now.

OK, I will admit I am a little disappointed but we are going to have to wait another month. I am impatient only because I really can't wait. It will be here before we know it though.
