Owning a pet is expensive. You are told this from the beginning. There is so much you have to do to provide for them. You have the food, the toys, the bedding. The list goes on and on. Of course when they get sick that is a whole other mess of expenses there.

If you can help them avoid the sickness you would. That is where making sure they are vaccinated comes in to play. I get it, we have had a heck of a couple of years. Expenses have gotten tighter. So if you can save money you need to. Right?

The Amarillo Management and Welfare wants to help with the vaccination process. The distemper and parvo outbreak has caused something to have to be done. They announced earlier that they were offering the free shots for four Saturday's in a row. They still have three more left.

The great response to last weeks clinic has forced them to change the location. They were able to vaccinate almost 500 dogs last Saturday. That is great news. Because it was such a huge success they decided to move the location for the next three weeks to the North Parking Lot of Dick Bivins Stadium. Everything else will stay the same. The dates are Aug 21st, Aug 28th and Sept 4th. The times are still 1pm - 3pm.

The drive-thru clinic will consist of giving your furry friend their rabies vaccine and the DHPP vaccine all for free. This is a great way to stop the outbreak. Vaccination is key. So please do you part. Get your animals vaccinated. For more information visit HERE.
