In case you missed the news yesterday, there is in fact going to be baseball in Amarillo again this summer. The catch, no pun intended, is that it won't be the Sod Poodles.

Instead, we will be hosting two collegiate teams. You can find details at this link.

Today, the schedule was announced for both teams. It is a little confusing as the schedule is split between the Amarillo Sod Squad, and Amarillo Sod Dogs.

This schedule is just for the games played at Hodgetown, and not for the away games.
The crack of the bat will be heard downtown starting on Tuesday, June 30. Once the regular season wraps up, there will be a postseason ending with a championship.
According to a press release, daily promotions will return. Wednesday is still wiener Wednesday at Hodgetown, with Thirsty Thursdays, and Fireworks Fridays.
On July 4, there will be an Independence Day Celebration fireworks show at the ballpark.
Tickets go on sale June 18 at 12 PM. You can purchase them on the Sod Poodles website.
Don't forget that on Father's Day, they will also be giving kids a chance to take Dad out to the ballpark to play catch and have some lunch. You can find the details on that on the Sod Poodles website.
It's encouraging to see that restrictions have lifted enough that this summer, while it may not be what we were all hoping for, we're still going to be able to enjoy some baseball in Amarillo.
