Join us any Monday morning here at Townsquare Media in Amarillo and you will have a laugh or two. Especially when it comes to some of our meetings. Early in the week we have one such meeting that we try to come up with story ideas.

We call stories that are written on the board. We come up with our own ideas and let our co-workers know not to touch that topic. These meetings can be fun and can get intense. Sometimes we delve into some really weird topics.

One such topic was about skinks. What is a skink? Where can you find skinks? When this topic was being discussed I was answering important texts or having a side conversation with someone in the room. All I remember hearing is that Melissa has one under her desk.

That brought me back to the moment. What were they talking about? Seems they were talking about the box that late last year I discovered a dead lizard under my desk. I still have it there. I want to see how long before this lizard decomposes. I feel that it never will.

I actually joked that I wanted to buy a burger from McDonalds and place it in that box too and see which one changes form first.

So apparently skinks, back to what I was supposed to write about this week. Can only be found in Texas. They are lizards. They have short legs. Yep, this dead creature had short legs.

They are found only in Texas, which I found interesting. It doesn't solve my mystery. I don't know when it climbed into that box under my desk. I don't know where it came from. I don't even know how long it has actually been there. I just know it is going to stay there until I leave this building.

This Huge Cabin In Palo Duro Canyon Is Top-Notch Glamping

This cabin is (to us) the definition of "glamorous camping".

This three bedroom rental is tucked away in the Palo Duro Canyon. It's a cabin with serious room, meaning it can fit up to eight guests--a girls trip, family vacation, or any bigger group.

The cabin is available for booking through glampinghub.com and the description along with the provided photos is enough to catch the eye of anyone ready to get out of town and away from it all.....without having to go very far.

It's a beautiful place with woodwork throughout, full amenities, and all the mandatory electornics (and WiFi!). If a group of people were to split the cost of their stay between each other, it is without a doubt one of the most budget-friendly options for vacations.

The four day minimum stay required to make a booking is the only drawback to this diamond in the rough of a rental property--but it's nothing a little planning ahead and vacation time can't remedy.
