Christmas Miracle – Amarillo Trash Service Back to Normal Soon
As I took the trip out to my dumpster last week I had hoped for two things. I wanted ever so much for there to be room for my bag of trash. I also had wished that we could go back to twice-a-week pickups.
I even thought about making that my one request for Santa as we went to go visit him. This has been going on since the middle of July. That is when the City of Amarillo made the announcement that our dumpsters would only be emptied once a week. This was a temporary issue.
This temporary issue has been going on for five long months. Being one with a dumpster behind my house I have watched the trash pile up. I have had to go and let trash stack up outside my house until I could fit in the dumpster. It's been not so much fun.
Amarillo Getting Twice-a-Week Trash Service Again
Five long months. That is why I wanted the help of Santa on my side. Looks like a Christmas miracle is here for the city. Amarillo we have seen the worst of it. We are finally moving back to normal.
At least that is what the City of Amarillo has come out and said. Yes, Santa heard my wishes. We will be going back to twice-a-week trash empties here in Amarillo. I can't contain my happiness.
I even had to send a text to my daughter visiting out in Dallas. That is how excited I am. This again has been a long five months. I won't have to see trash piled up in the dumpsters. I won't have to see my neighbors trying to stuff in one more bag. You know, the bag that ends up spilling out when the city tries to dump it.
I won't have to go out to my alley and pick up this nasty mess. I can't wait for January 9th to get here. That will be when this all starts happening again according to the City of Amarillo. They made that announcement in this week's CIty Council meeting.
I am thankful. I am excited. I can finally celebrate Christmas the way we should, with less trash in the New Year.
