Summer is right around the corner here in Amarillo. Things are moving way too fast this year. Before you know it Spring Break will be here then Easter and it's just a downward spiral from there with school.

The kids will be out and the biggest headache is what are they going to do all summer. If you have a daycare that you count on during the school year then you are already ahead of the game. Consider yourself lucky.

If you don't and you don't have family nearby that helps then planning for summer break can be a real headache. I had that headache one summer when my daughter's daycare suddenly closed. She was not old enough to stay home by herself so I had to punt.

I remember looking for any summer camp that she could do just so she could have someone watching her. I also wanted her to have fun. If she could learn something too that was a bonus for me. So I was on the hunt for supervision all summer long. Which can be tricky.
