There's A Haunted House For Pretty Much Everyone
There are so many haunted houses to choose from in Amarillo, that you're bound to find one that you like. There's even haunted houses that are supposedly haunted by more than props and actors...if you know what I mean.
One of those isn't listed on the map as it is new this year. The Haunt At Sundown is celebrating their first season, and you can find them on Sundown Lane. Their opening day is Oct 8.
I do recommend checking out the websites and social media pages of any haunted house you're hoping to attend. There may be coupons or specials that you can make good use of when you decide to go.
Actually Haunted, Haunted Houses
When it comes to those haunts that lay claim to being actually haunted, there's three in the Texas panhandle.
- The Blackness - Plainview
- 6th Street Massacre - Amarillo
- The Haunt At Sundown - Amarillo
If you're feeling extra brave, you can check those out and see if you come into contact with something that doesn't need to wear a rubber mask to scare you.
There Isn't Much Time To Get In Those Thrills
We're already into the second weekend of October. There's only a few left before the season ends. Considering that haunted houses primarily only operate on the weekends, you're going to need to plan ahead if you want to make the most out of the season.
