Pitch In To Beautify Amarillo’s Martin Road Park This June

If you like spending time outdoors, Amarillo, Texas, is a great place to be. The city is blessed with an abundance of public parks, giving you plenty of opportunities to enjoy a day out with the family.

One of the only downfalls to our parks is the way that some people take care of them, or rather, don't take care of them. Some people leave behind trash and litter, and no one likes to see that when they go to the park.

How You Can Help Amarillo Parks This Summer

Occasionally, clean-up days are announced for various parks in Amarillo. Usually, these clean-up events don't take up much of your time and give you a chance to help keep our parks beautiful.

Amarillo Parks and Recreation recently announced that one of these clean-up events will be taking place in June. Registration is currently open.

Amarillo Parks And Recreation Schedules Clean-Up Day For Martin Road Park

On June 7, 2025, Amarillo Parks and Recreation, along with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages will be hosting a clean-up day at Martin Road Park. You can help keep the park looking nice, and it won't take much time.

The clean-up is scheduled to last that morning from 8 AM to 10 AM. Just a couple of hours of your time on a Saturday, and you'll have helped do something nice for the city and all of the people who enjoy Martin Road Park.

Swag bags will be available for volunteers while supplies last.

As great as these clean-up days are for the parks and the city, it would be even better if we didn't need them. When you go out to any of our parks, be sure and throw your trash away or take it with you when you leave.
