Some of these places have dress codes, which is nothing new in Amarillo. I got into an argument one time with a bouncer at Midnight Rodeo over a pair of sunglasses I had sitting on top of my head. I felt he got a little too touchy-feely when he snatched them off my head. He felt I had broken the dress code.

One spot in Amarillo recently announced they're going to be stepping up their dress code game. Not only are they stepping up their dress code, but they're also adjusting the age you have to be to get in for some customers.

As you might expect, the announcement was instantly met with a barrage of memes, jokes, and questions. One of the biggest questions asked was, 'Why is there an age gap between men and women being allowed entry?' Why not just make it the same across the board?

MJ's Saloon Raises the Bar with New Entry Rules

MJ's Saloon and Grill in Amarillo recently took to social media to announce the changes. In their words, they're "curating a safe, stylish, and high-energy crowd."

If you plan on relaxing at MJ's anytime soon, and you're a man, here's what you need to know: You need to be 25+ years old to enter. Collared shirts, fitted pants, and clean sneakers or dress shoes are required.

Ladies will need to be at least 21 years old. No lingerie-style outfits, pajamas, overly revealing outfits, or fuzzy slippers will be allowed. Also, for everyone, no sunglasses, hoodies over the head, durags, sagging pants, or athletic wear.

It will be interesting to see how these changes will affect business at MJ's Saloon and Grill.
