Mother Gives 7-Year Old A Liposuction Gift Certificate for Christmas

I know parents go to extremes when it comes to their children.  Toddlers and Tiaras is a perfect example of that craziness.  However, sometimes parents try to transfer their obsessions on to their children.  That is exactly what one mom did to her 7-year old daughter.

Sarah is obsessed with appearances and looks and has had a massive amount of plastic surgery.   She is known as a Human Barbie Doll and now she is passing this onto her daughter.  Most 7-year old girls want DSi's, Play Doh, Barbie Dolls, and Easy Bake Ovens for Christmas, not plastic surgery.

According to The Huffington Post:

Sarah Burge, the woman known as the "Human Barbie," gave her daughter Poppy a bizarre stocking stuffer this Christmas: a liposuction voucher worth about $11,000.

The 7-year-old was reportedly excited about the gift, and mom is confident the money will be well spent one day in the future.

This isn't the first time she has given a gift like this, Poppy received a gift certificate for a breast augmentation for her birthday.

I completely agree with The Drs on this one, by giving your 7-year old plastic surgery gift certificates, you are telling her it is not OK to be proud of herself.

As a mom, I couldn't imagine doing this to my child.  Granted, I have a boy but if I ever have a girl, I would have to be insane to give a young girl a plastic surgery gift certificate.
