Ok I really didn't have high hopes for this one. Let me explain. I love grilled cheese. Who doesn't? Well ok lactose intolerant people don't. I love burgers too. I just wasn't sure why this burger would be much different than just a cheeseburger.

I mean really. I had just got done walking five miles with a friend and I was having the debate of what to have for dinner. If I went home and cooked I wouldn't be eating until late and I didn't want to do that.

So I remembered seeing about this grilled cheese burger that they had at Sonic. They were also running a deal that if you ordered it through the app you could get it for half price. Plus you get half price drinks anytime you order a beverage through the app. So here I was looking at a pretty inexpensive dinner.

So I got to ordering so I could go and pick up. The ordering was simple as it always is through the app. I did notice that they added a new feature where you can leave a tip via the app now. I love that they finally made that possible.

I then headed home with dinner. I ordered onion rings too because I love them. My whole meal was $5.98 and then I added a tip. So even if I didn't like the burger much I still considered it a win.

I unwrapped the burger and I loved the fact that it was on Texas toast just like a good grilled cheese. It had more cheese than a regular cheese burger would. Other than that it had the lettuce, onions, pickles, tomatoes, everything you would find on their cheeseburger.

I really surprisingly liked it. Yes, it's a grilled cheese, yes, it's a burger. That is what they advertise it to be. I was happy. Oh and the onion rings too. It was a good meal for under $7 with a tip. Would I order it again? Even paying full price for the burger I really think I would.
