Shipping for the Holidays? Here’s the Post Office Deadlines
I'll admit it has been a very long while since I have had to personally walk into the Post Office to mail something. It's a rarity. Now don'e get me wrong, I get stuff through the mail all the time, but I just don't send much stuff out these days. This holiday season, I will be sending a package or two through the mail and it's good to know when those packages have to be in the mail to make it under someone else's tree in time. Here's a great reminder on those US Post Office shipping details.
For your package to make it by December 25th you need to mail it by:
Retail Ground - December 14th
First Class Mail - December 20th
Priority Mail - December 20th
Priority Mail Express - December 22nd
Military Shipping
Space Available Mail - 4 November 27th
Parcel Air Lift 5 - December 4th
First-Class Mail, Priority Mail - December 11th
Priority Mail Express Military Service 6 - December 18th
The post office has some great holiday stamps that you can put on your Christmas cards to send all those Christmas greetings.
Plus don't forget the Post office makes it easy to ship. Don't want to leave your house to send packages?
You can order boxes to ship in and have them delivered to your door.
You can ship from home with their Click-N-Ship. Which means you can pay for postage, print labels, and schedule a pick up all from the comfort of your home.
