As we head deeper into the spring and then summer months conventions will be happening all over Texas, gathering geeks, nerds, and enthusiasts of all stripes. As we prepare ourselves for the onslaught of cosplayers and people praying for a selfie with their favorite celebrity, let's take a look at which superheroes Texans are most likely to dress up as.

Who Are The Most Popular Superheroes In Texas?

The big brains over at Casinos.com did a little research to determine which superheroes we would prefer to save the day in the Lone Star State. The top 3 superheroes in Texas according to their findings are:

  • Spider-Man
  • Batman
  • Wonderwoman

After looking at the results, I have to say they're not that surprising.

What Our Favorite Superheroes Say About Texas

First, you have Spider-Man. It makes sense considering he's more of a "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" type of superhero than say Batman. Peter Parker isn't a billionaire playboy playing dress-up with a host of high-tech gadgets. He's a freelance photographer hanging out (no pun intended) at his aunt's house. Spoiler alert: freelancers don't make billions of dollars. He's a working man's hero. We like people like that in Texas.

Next, you have Batman. He's a billionaire playboy. We love billionaire playboys in Texas. Just ask Elon Musk. The only difference is that Batman uses his billions on tech gadgets that help him fight crime. Musk uses his billions to try and win a space race against other billionaires, launch satellites that get mistaken for UFOs, electric cars that play video games, dig giant holes, and make flamethrowers.

Last, you have Wonder Woman. Once again, it's not that surprising. You have a beautiful dark-haired woman that kicks a lot of butt and really fills out a super costume. There have been, and continue to be, a lot of strong independent women who come from Texas. If Wonder Woman existed, she'd probably live in Austin with the rest of the Lone Star State's resident celebs.
