As a on-air personality one of the great parts of my job is getting to interview different celebrities.  This week I had the opportunity to talk with 80s sensation Rick Springfield.

Rick Springfield was one of the hotties we all fell in love with in the 80s.  The hot guy on stage belting out songs about wanting Jessie's Girl.  Stole our hearts as Dr. Noah Drake on General Hospital.  Of course we had to record that on our VCRs.  We now have the chance to relive some of those Rick Springfield crushes because he is coming to Amarillo on October 23rd.

It's no surprise, the 80's was and still is my favorite decade. Since I started in radio in 1981, I've had many a 80's record ingrained in my memory. Sometimes that can be a good or bad thing, depending on the song. I can't even count how many times I played 'Island In The Streams' or 'Endless Love' every three and half hours back in the day...

Rocker Rick Springfield was arrested Sunday night in Malibu, CA, and charged with a DUI. According to TMZ, police initially pulled over the 61-year-old for a traffic violation. However, when they noticed the smell of alcohol, Springfield was subjected to two failed sobriety tests, where he measured a .10 and a .08.
