There are Scum of the Earth Poisoning Our Dogs in Amarillo

How can somebody be so heartless? Poising our dogs here in Amarillo? I can't believe it. Our dogs are our family. They are the first contact we have when we get home. They are so excited to see us. Poisoning our dogs? Really? Who does such a thing?

There really is no way to justify these actions. If you live in the Bonham or Western Plateau area, check out your backyard. I mean this is probably something everyone should be doing anywhere. You never know.

This warning came out yesterday on Facebook. I saw it on the Amarillo & Canyon Lost/Found Pets from Monica. Especially be on the lookout if you live off of Cornell St, Purdue, 53rd St, Shady Lane in the Western Plateau area/Bonham Middle School area:

Be aware someone is throwing things in backyards & poisoning dogs. My best friend luckily was able to get her sweet doggy to the ER vet yesterday in time & today her mom's sweet pit bull was poisoned (currently at the vet). This has been confirmed by the vet! CHECK YOUR YARDS. And let your neighbors know! This is so cruel.

It is unsure what the item actually is. The smell is sweet and definitely something a dog would be curious about and would actually eat. It's a good idea to check out your backyard. Do a quick walk around just to be on the safe side.

Keep an eye on your dogs. You know how they normally behave. If you see something unusual. If they stop eating. If they just seem to lay there all day without any normal activity. Take them to the vet. If their breathing seems off. Take them in. You know your dog best.

To the scum of the earth that is acutally doing this, wow. If you are that person throwing stuff in the backyard to hurt our dogs, there is a special place in hell for you. Really there is and we can't wait for you to get there.
