The Top Things in Amarillo We Don’t Need More YouTube Videos Of
Get on YouTube, type in Amarillo, TX and you get a ton of results. There's a pretty decent variety to pick from. We have everything from personal vlogs to car dealerships uploading vehicles of the latest models to land on their lot. Here are the top things we don't need anymore YouTube videos of.
Cadillac Ranch
How many different ways can you go out to a patch of dirt and film cars covered in graffiti? There are so many "What To Do In Amarillo" videos, and every single one features Cadillac Ranch. We need videos of all the other wacky art installations around town. Floating Mesa's feelings have to be hurt by now.
The Big Texan 72oz Steak Challenge
The Big Texan is really big on YouTube. Search for Amarillo, and other than half-buried cars, you'd think that all we have to offer is a glutton's portion of finely grilled beef. I've lost count how many videos I've seen on YouTube just by searching our city's name, and the top result is someone guzzling meat.
Palo Duro Canyon
This one is a bit tricky. I would love to see more videos of the lesser known trails and things to see. There are caves in Palo Duro Canyon that I have yet to see videos of. You know what there are a ton of videos about? The Lighthouse. Every hiker with a GoPro and a YouTube account has hiked to The Lighthouse.
There is a lot more going on in Amarillo, and the surrounding area, than just these three things. I'd love to see more videos highlighting those.
