The Worst Towns in the Texas Panhandle To Live
When it comes to towns in the Texas Panhandle, what towns are the worst to live in?
I've been thinking about this, but I don't want to offend anyone about their great town. I would say take it with a grain of salt because it's all in jest.
Hereford, Texas
I only say this because I grew up here and I still come home on a regular basis. Why would I include this on the list? Well, one reason and one reason only, it smells like cow [poop], all the time. It's even worse after it rains or the humidity is high. "It's the smell of money." Ugh, no, just no. The smell is still ingrained in my DNA.
Umbarger/Dawn
They are teeny tiny towns on the way to Hereford. They don't really have anything. No convenience stores and the only restaurant between the two of them closed down. Is the liquor store even open anymore? On a positive note, Umbarger has one of the best German Sausage Fests.
Conway, Tx
Three people live here? That's it. Three people. I mean if you want isolation like that, then it's a perfect place. Otherwise, it has to be very lonely. Hey, at least it has the Bug Ranch.
Borger, Tx
It's a cute town, but doesn't all that soot from the carbon plants just seep into the air and then into your skin, hair, carpets, and clothes? Something like a black cloud that always hovers. It's probably like the smell in Hereford, it never leaves you.
Zita, Tx
No one knows about it. It's like it might as well not exist, but it does and it's on the Loop.
White Deer, Texas
There's no white deer, just brown deer. What's up with that. At least in Hereford you actually see Hereford cows.
Sunray, Texas
There isn't a ray of sunshine in that place.
Spearman, Texas
The alligator ranch closed. Did you read that, the alligator ranch closed.
There you go, the worst cities to live in the Texas Panhandle.
