Pets are the greatest thing.  They love you unconditionally.  They are always happy to see you.  OK maybe that's dogs, but cats are awesome pets as well.

Cats pretty much take care of themselves and when they want attention they will come to ask for it.  Yes, I realize that they think they rule you, but they are just fluffy furballs that make life grand.

I know, I had three and sadly I have lost 2 in the last year, and I have my old man still and he's just as loveable now as he was when we adopted him from the Amarillo SPCA almost 13 years ago.

But I digress, Amarillo needs a cat cafe.  I am a fan of the show, Call Me Kat, which stars Mayim Bialik. The premise of this show was a former professor, who left the education world and opened a cat cafe.  At the cafe, she served coffee and pastries and it was full of cats up for adoption. Of course, it was a sitcom, so hilarity ensued (especially since Leslie Jordan is in the cast).

I don't know about you but I would hang out at a cat cafe and drink coffee any day.  My only problem would be wanting to adopt all the cats.

As I was scrolling through Facebook the other day I noticed that on the Amarillo Restaurant Reviews....At Your Own Risk page, someone put up a poll asking if anyone would be interested in a cat cafe that serves, coffee, tea, and beer.

Of course, my answer was, YES!!!!

I think this would be the coolest place in the city, especially if this cat cafe had these cats up for adoption.

My only concern would be the regulations and rules that one would have to follow from the Health Department.

Cat hair everywhere!!!! Or, Kitty confetti everywhere!!!

Please, someone put in a cat cafe in Amarillo.
