When Is The Best Time For Planting Your Veggies In Amarillo? Now.
If you're wanting to get a garden started in our area, now is the time to do it. At least according to the Farmer's Almanac. In fact, pretty much all of your vegetables in your garden would be happy if you planted them soon.

If you started some plants inside, move them outside into that garden that you've no doubt been preparing. If you haven't started plants inside, there are plenty of places around town where you can get what you need to get a garden started.
If You Still Need Time To Plant and Plan, You Have Until About Mid-May
Looking at the Almanac, you'll see that there are several vegetables you can continue to plant well into the middle of May. For instance, regular potatoes need to be planted soon. Sweet potatoes give you a little more time.
For more information, you can check out the Farmer's Almanac here. This lists what they say are the best planting dates.
Now Is A Great Time To Start Thinking About Having A Garden

There are a lot of resources, nurseries, and stores locally that can help you and I get started.
