You May Still Get Fair Food Here In Amarillo Soon

So how bummed were you when you heard the announcement that the Amarillo Tri-State Far was being cancelled? Oh I saw everyone upset about the lack of fair food this year. I mean we count on the artery clogging goodness.

We still want our fill of deep fried foods on a stick. Am I right? Well all hope is not lost. I was scrolling through Facebook and saw this announcement from Public House. Oh my goodness they are going to make our dreams come true.

They are wanting to bring Amarillo a week with all of that deliciousness we have grown to expect. They are talking about perfecting their fried cheese on a stick. Oh and those lovely spiral sliced Texas Taters. It's been too long since we have had a plate of them. That wait may be over.

They are wanting to bring us the corn on the cob we are missing and also the fried pickles. Oh the fried pickles. If you don't see your favorite listed they are asking for suggestions too. Go ahead and make your voice be heard HERE.

I know that I am jonsing for a good fair stuffed sopapilla. Oh those are just heavenly. I also really love their Indian Tacos too. Those both get my vote.

So maybe you won't be able to head out to the Tri State Fairgrounds at lunch to get your fair food on....but not all hope is lost. They haven't announced for sure when this would be taking place. I am pretty sure it will be in the middle of September you know around the time the Tri State Fair would be in town. I will be keeping an eye on Public House's Facebook page. I can't wait.

Public House is located at 3333 S Coulter. For us old time Amarilloans that is the former location of Santa Fe Restaurant so long ago.
