Rick Andrews

Hey there, Rick Andrews here. I thought I would give you a little background about me. I was born and raised in Bangor, Maine and was bitten by the radio "bug" since the age of 7. By the time I was 14 years old I got my dream job and "cracked the mic" for the first time and have never looked back. My career has taken me from Maine, New York, California and New Mexico. Rick has been described as a "walking encyclopedia" of music info and trivia. When not on the air at Mix 94.1, I enjoy reading entertainment Biographies, Sci-Fi and management books. I also enjoy sketching, painting, drawing and practicing card & coin magic. You usually can find me on the air Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm.

Famous People From the State of Maine – Three Whom I’ve Met, Three Whom I Haven’t

Most people know of Maine because of writer Stephen King. But we do have some other famous people who came from my home state.

I was watching 'Criminal Minds' last night and one of the actresses looked familiar – just like one of the people on one of the other shows I watch – 'Continuum.' I looked her up, and found out she's from Maine! It got me thinking, who else is from Maine? Check out my list!

5 Movies That Never Should Have Had Sequels [VIDEO]

I was channel surfing last night and landed on Arnold Schwarzenegger's movie 'Predator.' It wasn't one of my favorite AH-Nold movies, but all-in-all, it was a decent flick. But that got me thinking about some movies that I thought were great and then how Hollywood had to go 'back to the well' and start cranking out sequels. Not all sequels are bad, but as the numbers got bigger, the plots got smaller.
