As I snuggled up with my very sweet, very cuddly 4-year old son one evening, I wondered how children can have so many personalities throughout the day? He patted my hand and called me sweetie-pie, which as relationships between little boys and their moms often go, is just the way its supposed to be.

Some days I wonder why they all still call me Mom.  Why haven’t they all run away yet?  Some days I think I have lost my mind, and those are the good days.  The bad days I know I have lost my mind.   I have six kids, a husband in a band, a family that calling dysfunctional is an understatement.  My life is really crazy, but yet people tell me I am a good mom.  Are you kidding me??

You know how in the haste of of the hustle and bustle of life, you sometimes look for opportunities to just kind of skate by on a task? Well that one came back to bite me this week.

Grandparents are great. They bring such joy to the world, so it's nice to see what makes them happiest: becoming grandparents.

Friday's are fun and exciting because it means the weekend is here.  The only catch?  You have to get through the workday to get to the weekend.  Today I hope these videos help you make the workday fly.

Australia has decided to blow out the candles on a birthday tradition.

As every parent knows, it's tough to get little kids to behave in a restaurant. Being in a new environment will excite the youngsters and many of their typically inoffensive meal time antics, such as loud talking, hyperactivity and the occasional food play, become amplified into something less adorable and more annoying when strangers are watching.

It makes me angry when I see a child being disrespectful to an adult, but I would never go and get physical with that kid.  A Dollar General employee felt different.  A DG employee was arrested and charged with two felonies after spanking a child with a belt.

Back in the day, before 1,000 channels on TV, internet in the palm of your hand, game systems in every shape and size, kids actually had to play.  Some of the games that were created we actually fun games.  Red Rover, Duck, Duck, Goose and Hide and Seek were a few of those games you could play with your friends in your neighborhood.  However, it seems that some of those games can be dangerous. I'll be honest I didn't realize it was snowing last night until my mom called and asked if it was snowing here.  I yelled at E. to put his PJs on because he had just gotten out of the shower and he did and came running into the living room.  I told him to open the door and of course got the excited scream, "snow, it's snowing, oh my gosh snow".

It seems like Darth Vader's turned a positive corner recently. He's become part of the Disney family after all, so maybe the whole hanging out with princesses thing is turning him into a softie. Or maybe he just got a bad rep all these years. Whatever the case, it doesn't seem like the Dark Lord is all that bad. Why? Well, these kiddos are proof.
