Amarillo Crime Stoppers is asking for everyone's help in identifying a suspect in a recent armed robbery. What you'll really find unbelievable is the time of day the robber chose to strike.

According to information released by Amarillo Crime Stoppers, on September 1, an individual robbed a convenience store in the 2500 block of SW 6th. Police were dispatched to the location just after 4 PM.

The suspect had entered the store, covered head to toe, and walked up to the clerk. They passed a note to the clerk before pulling out a revolver and pointing it at them. The suspect was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Limited Details, Big Impact
They are described as a male around 4'11" tall. That's as far as the description goes because the suspect was completely covered.

What I find shocking is the time of day when this all transpired. This individual brazenly robbed a convenience store at gunpoint in the middle of the day. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
