Amarillo's gas prices are starting to creep up as spring and summer are getting close. Drivers will notice the rise of nearly 4 cents a gallon. GasBuddy's daily reports Amarillo's gas has jumped up 27 cents a gallon, since last month.

According to GasBuddy, Houston has the cheapest gas in the state, with one food mart selling at $1.79 per gallon. Amarillo's cheapest gas, as of Monday morning, is at both Sam's Club location at $2.21 a gallon.

On average, Amarillo is not doing bad with the increase. Lubbock's lowest gas price was $2.30 per gallon, with Midland-Odessa at $2.30 per gallon and Oklahoma City coming in at $2.34.

Warmer weather is headed our way and we can expect to see gas prices rise, as America hits the road for spring and summer.
