Amarillo Needs More Murder Mystery Parties For Halloween
If you have ever been to a murder mystery party, you know that they have the potential to be one of the most fun evenings you'll have. If everyone really gets into it, it can be a very entertaining way to spend an evening.
I'm shocked that there aren't more murder mystery parties scheduled this time of year. You would think that being the middle of the spookiest season of the year, we'd have more reasons to dress up, have some drinks, and enjoy a bit of revelry.
Then again, with the ongoing pandemic, I can understand not wanting to gather a bunch of people together in a room to solve a mystery.
If you've never been to a murder mystery party, they usually involve being assigned a character. For the duration of the evening, you're expected to be in character.
There's a dinner, and at some point during that dinner the killer strikes.The last one I went to, I was enjoying some finely prepared game hen when a scream was heard from the kitchen. I didn't get to touch my desert, which is a shame because it was some kind of lemon dish that looked delicious.
The rest of the evening is all about trying to find out who is guilty of the crime.
