The City of Amarillo is back with another survey. This time it covers a very topical hot-button issue. The City is looking for input on the resiliency improvement plan being put together by the Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization. Yes, it covers our roads and emergencies.

New Survey From City Of Amarillo Tackles Roads And Emergencies

So far in 2025, we've all seen or know someone who was none too happy with the response to the insane record-breaking amount of snow that got dumped on us. People complained, and now those people have the opportunity to sound off in this survey.

The survey isn't too long. It should take all of five minutes to fill out. It asks about your methods of travel, what your major concerns are, and how you feel about transportation in the area during events like severe weather.

Upset About The Roads In Amarillo? Here's Where To Sound Off

The most interesting part of the survey is the numerous areas where you are given the opportunity to write out explanations for your answers. The City is really wanting to get inside your mind when it comes to transportation.

The goal of this resiliency plan is to improve our transportation system against disasters, severe weather, and emergencies. I think that's something we can all get behind.

When it comes to issues regarding transportation that are always on our minds, drainage systems are mentioned. I know a lot of people who would love to have our drainage systems improved, especially when we get those downpours.

You can take the survey by following this link. Set aside a few minutes, fill it out, and let your voice be heard.

Say You're From Amarillo Without Saying You're From Amarillo

Amarillo is a pretty quirky place. We've got the Big Texan, the weird signs, and (obviously) the famed Cadillac Ranch. But more than that, there's a distinct culture of close-knit community, eccentrics, a thriving arts scene, and much more.

The point is, living in Amarillo is a unique experience. Because of that, it's really pretty easy to tell who's a native or a long-time resident. And I can prove it.

Here's a couple of ways you can say you're from Amarillo.....without saying you're from Amarillo.
