Amarillo’s JCPenney Store Spared, Other Cities Not So Lucky
Back in February, it was announced that JCPenney would be closing down 130-140 of its stores across the United States. Last Friday, they announced which stores would be closing.
Due to restructuring of the company, JCPenney announced that it will be closing down 138 stores. Here's the list of stores in Texas that will be closing:
- Borger Shopping Plaza, Borger, TX
- Heartland Mall, Early, TX
- El Paso Downtown, El Paso, TX
- Marshall Mall, Marshall, TX
- McAllen Downtown, McAllen, TX
- University Mall, Nacogdoches, TX
- King Plaza Shopping Center, Seguin, TX
- Bosque River Center, Stephenville, TX
Unfortunately, Borger is losing its JCPenney. Luckily, our Amarillo store will remain open.
