Cold Weather in Amarillo! Time To Buy A Winter Jacket
I am from Chicago. I don't need a really warm winter jacket. I think that is how I always felt. This year though....I feel different!
I don't think I have bought an actual winter jacket ever! I always had nice North Face lighter jackets that were stylish but not very warm. Oh and those were actually my daughter's that I would wear one that she was not.
I am pretty frugal. I don't like spending a lot of money. I, though, feel it is going to be cold this year and I feel I may freeze at the Electric Light Parade. We either get really great weather for the parade....or we don't. I feel....this year it is going to be COLD on November 30th!
So I got prepared. I hunted for a jacket that I would love.....because I will have it for years. I finally found one from Columbia. It is multi-functional. I love that.
The outer layer is waterproof and I can wear that alone in the rain. I can stay dry.
Then I can unzip the inner shell and wear that alone on a cold day. It is Omni-Heat Reflective which means you will keep your warmth. Not your sweat. Oh and it is warm!
If it is a really cold and snowy day....I can have all the layers together. Which makes it weather proof (keeps out all the moisture) and keeps me toasty. I have worn the three different ways already.
If you want to check it out for yourself :
I know I will get A LOT of use out of this jacket. I am so glad that I finally broke down and decided to be an adult. It was time for my first jacket! One I will have for many, many years.
