The day that a dog or cat becomes a member of your family is always an exciting one. Everyone wants to spend as much time as possible with the family's new four-legged friend. The happiness you feel in that moment is something that is etched in your memory forever.

Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare is making it incredibly easy for you to experience the joy of a dog or cat joining your family this month. You have two weeks left to help them "clear the shelter" and give an animal a loving forever home.

Why Clear the Shelter Matters

The Clear the Shelter event makes the whole process of getting a dog or cat simple and, most importantly, affordable. Getting a pet can be a very costly endeavor.

Some of the costs that immediately lighten your wallet are the adoption fees, spay/neuter fees, the cost of getting a microchip, and the expensive vaccinations. For the rest of August, you can adopt from the shelter in Amarillo and not have to worry about those costs.

What’s Included With Free Adoptions

The Clear the Shelter event allows you to adopt a dog or cat with the adoption fees waived. That includes the microchip, spay/neuter, and vaccinations.

All you'll have to worry about is getting some toys, food, and whatever else you want to pick up to make your new pet's life awesome. There's no better time than right now if you've been considering getting a dog or a cat.
