If your dog has gone missing, there is a website you can use to report it. This website features a map and allows you to upload photos and give information. The City provides it to be used not only to report missing animals, but also to report found ones.

This is a great resource to use, and if you have a dog, I recommend bookmarking it so you have quick access to it. You can search for matches with your dog with reports from shelters and even reports from the community.
