Have You Tried The Pickle Beer Yet? You Can.

I have been on a mission. I wanted to try the New Pickle Beer from Best Maid. I saw about an event they were having near the Dallas area a few weeks ago and I was intrigued.

Then I read how a few businesses here in Amarillo were going to get a shipment. I made plans to go the next weekend to try it. Well that didn't happen because those businesses sold out in record time. I was crushed. I read that the next shipment wasn't going to happen until October.

Now some restaurants received their shipment right away and some are still waiting. Restaurants and stores alike sold out once they got it. Some stores even set a limit to how many you could buy. It's like the whole Popeye's Chicken Sandwich frenzy.

Well, this past weekend I actually got to try it. How? My good friends Cody and Gina Blair who own Fire Slice Pizzeria actually saved me a can. I had until Saturday to go in or they were going to sell it to someone else. I told them I would be in! I got the pickle beer and only saw it fitting to get the Freddie Mercury Pizza, that is a pickle and bacon pizza. One of my favorites.

So I got to try the beer. I will say if you are a fan of pickles....a fan of pickle juice....you will love it! I did! It tastes like pickle juice. I had several friends text me on Saturday to find out how I liked it. They wanted to know if I would make it a regular in my fridge. I would. I really would. So maybe next month when there is more of a supply I will grab some for my home too.
