I looked for when I was in Dallas....which is where it was created. No luck. But my best friend there taught me a hack. Oh and it works and you can get all the stuff right here in Amarillo.

So Best Maid Pickles, out of Ft Worth, created the Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer over the summer. Some restaurants carry it here in Amarillo. You can get a 6-pack here in town but it seems they sell out just as quickly as they get in the store. So here is the hack I was telling you about.

First read this description from the Best Maid Website:

Fort Worth’s own Best Maid Pickles and Martin House Brewing Company have teamed up to bring you a Sour Pickle Beer and a Craft Beer Pickle. We’ll be canning this DILL-icious Sour Beer in mid-August 2019. With the brewery just down the road from the Best Maid Pickles factory, this is a collaboration that is sure to DILL-ight both beer and pickle fans.

The base for the Sour Pickle beer is Martin House’s famous Salty Lady Sour Gose. Best Maid Pickles’ Dill Brine is added to the beer during the brewing process. The end result is a refreshing and pickle-y sour/salty combination that will certainly hit the spot during these hot summer days.

So the beer is basically Salty Lady Sour Gose with Best Maid Pickle Juice poured in it. Oh and to my surprise Market Street United carries it when I looked.

You will not know how excited I was because I had asked my daughter to make a stop in Dallas to find some before she came home for Thanksgiving. Now she didn't need to. I could buy it right here. I even asked Market Streets Store Manager, Matt Edwards, if they normally keep this beer on hand. Oh and they do.

So next stop is I had to get pickle juice. Oh and only Best Maid Pickle Juice would do. As luck would have it Market Street had my back on that too.

So basically I pour one beer in a cup, my daughter learned the correct way to pour a beer so there will not be all that foam. After that I poured about a quarter of a cup to a half of cup of pickle juice in to taste.....stir gently and oh my goodness the greatness.

My daughter doesn't even like beer but she loves this stuff. So I made sure the fridge was stocked for Christmas time as well. So if you like pickles I suggest you give this a try. You're welcome.
