There have been missing persons over the years in Amarillo. The first one I really remember growing up was the case of Dorien Thomas. He went missing back in 1998. To this day he has still not been found.

It has to be tough for family members who have a loved one gone and do not know what happened. Just two years ago last week another family discovered firsthand how missing a family member feels.

That is when forty-year-old Linda Barnett went disappeared. She left without her medicine even though she requires it for some health issues she has. She left without

her ID. She even left without any money.

Her cell phone was left behind. She was just gone. There were some leads that were called in but nothing that has brought her home. It's been a long two years for her family. There still are no answers to be had.

Just like in the case of Dorien Thomas somebody has to know what happened. Someone has had to see Linda. She disappeared wearing a multi-colored shirt and a pair of gray camouflage pants.

Linda was last known to be seen in the 500 block of Kentucky Street here in Amarillo. That was the last time and two years later still nothing.
