I have spent many days walking the halls of Wolflin Elementary School. That is where my daughter went to school and where I was the yearbook staff for many years. I miss those much simpler times.

I have spent many days in their cafeteria. I would go and have lunch with her at least once a week. Sometimes I would pick up lunch for both of us. Sometimes we would eat in the cafeteria. I mean only when they had tostadas for lunch. That was our favorite.

That cafeteria is where we had our Thanksgiving lunches every year as well. I miss that cafeteria. I do need to go back and visit because they are getting a bright, cheerful new addition to their cafeteria.

Now Amarillo Independent School District is still on Christmas break. They will head back to the classroom on Tuesday. When the students at Wolflin get to school on Tuesday and head to the cafeteria they will be excited.

Over the break Blank Spaces Murals worked hard to bring a smile to the staff and students at Wolflin Elementary. They wanted to make sure that there was some brightness added to everyone's day.

The murals all over the city are a sight to see and have been a great addition. Now some of the Amarillo schools are getting the same treatment. Wolflin Elementary was the most recent one.

I reached out to the folks at Blank Murals to see if this was the first school to get this treatment. They are not the first and they will not be the last.

We just finished one at San Jacinto and we have a few schools we are working with on indoor and outdoor murals.

So if you have kids that go to Wolflin Elementary be on the lookout for this addition to the cafeteria. If your kiddos go to a different school keep an eye out because Blank Spaces Mural may be surprising you next.
