Amarillo Soon to Become a Bit Less Thrifty With News on Closing

With the cost of pretty much anything and everything going up, we find ways to save money. Heck, even when our finances weren't being hit we still enjoy the hunt at our local Amarillo thrift stores.

You never know what goodies you are going to find. That ends up being half of the fun is not only getting a great deal but finding a great find. Amarillo does have several thrift stores to do just that. Though, we are about to lose one.

The one that we just heard about closing on Facebook is located at 1600 S Washington. It has been several thrift stores over the years. The one I remember it being is Got Junk?

That one closed down several years ago and was taken over by After Life Clothing Haus. They decided that their time had come to an end at this location as well. They are closing their doors soon.

When Are They Closing Their Doors?

When they say soon they really do mean it. Their last day in business is January 31st. Which if you look at a calendar means pretty much tomorrow. They didn't give us a lot of notice but we got some.

They started off the announcement by saying everything in the store was pretty much just two dollars but they have moved on. Now they are letting you fill a bag for just five dollars. So there are some great deals going on for sure.

I will be interested in seeing what is next. This building has been home to a thrift store of some kind for many many years. Will another one move in? We can keep an eye open to see what is next for this location.
