From a seasoned Amarillo resident, I remember back in the day when we only had one Chick-fil-A location. My first introduction to this heavenly chicken was a trip to Westgate Mall. I remember it well.

I had skipped my afternoon history class in school. I justified it by thinking I was going to see a historical movie about JFK. That was fitting. I needed lunch first. So we stopped at Chick-fil-A in the mall before heading to the theater in that same mall.

Here we are several years later and the movie theater is about to reopen. Not only that but Amarillo is about to get a fifth Chick-fil-A location in Amarillo. The best part is that there are enough people who love this chicken goodness to support five locations.

Will having a fifth one shorten the lines at any of the others? Probably not. It's ok their customer service is spot on that the wait time does not equal to how long the lines look. It never is.

So we found out a while ago that Chick-fil-A was getting a location in the ever-growing 58th and Georgia location. Man, has that area grown? There is a Neighborhood Walmart, several convenience stores, Starbucks, McDonald's, and even a Domino's.

They are still in the process of building a Joe Taco/OVR EZE breakfast place. Finally, we are one step closer to getting the Lord's Chicken in that location. I knew it was coming but wasn't sure of the exact location.

They just recently put up a banner sealing that deal. Also helping directionally challenged people like me see exactly where this was happening. Now if we can just work some magic to get it open soon. I know everyone in that area is ready.
