It's gonna be a really cool thing when they bring those two things together on June 1st.   The Texas Route 66 Festival is kicking off in Amarillo to celebrate all things Route 66.

The event will be Saturday, June 3rd at 10 am.  Over 60 Texas Longhorns will make their way down Polk Street.  Not only will they have the longhorn cattle, but you might also just find yourself in the middle of an old west shootout.  Other vehicles will also be included in the parade, so it will be a fun event for the entire family.  Bring your family out and line up along the street sides and admire these beasts of meat and the cowboys that take care of them.
