Mix Has A New Morning Show!

For the first time, in some 18 years, I'll be on a new morning show. For the first time, in some 20 years, I'll have a new partner.

Melissa Bartlett will be joining me on Mix mornings and she brings some big time morning experience, herself. We were competitors at one point, but still in the same building. We're excited to be paired up and really to wake up the panhandle in the mornings.

I met Melissa when she was a 19 year Radio/TV major at Amarillo College. She was just out of high school, sounded like she was from Chicago (she was) and loved The Beatles. We got along just fine! We'll be doing "The Show You Know" with her doing some of her favorite bits and me doing some of mine. That includes the return of the "Joke Of The Day."

A huge thanks is due to Lori & Charlie, who brought a live and local morning show to Mix 94-1. They aren't going anywhere, as Lori will take over Middays and Charlie's voice will still be a big part, of what we do. They are both wonderful people, who are moving UP to do some fun things, for you.

Do I have butterflies? Yes. Melissa does too. It's always scary when you start something new. I hope you'll try us out as we try to bring you great music, some big laughs, and get you on your way to work or school in the mornings.

So, I'll be setting an alarm tonight, for the first time in a couple of months. We'll talk to you in the morning!
